New Delhi: Several prominent leaders from differnmt cadres called Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday to inquire about his health afeter he has tested COVID-19 positive yesterday.

President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and a number of cabinet ministers, chief ministers, and leaders of various political parties spoke with Naidu in Hyderabad today on the second day of his home isolation.

After testing positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, Naidu has decided to remain in self-isolation for a week and has advised anyone who has come into contact with him to do the same.

"Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, who is currently in Hyderabad, tested positive for COVID today. He has chosen to spend a week in self-isolation. He has advised anyone who has come into contact with him to isolate themselves and seek medical attention "India's Vice President tweeted.
