New Delhi: The #BoycottQatarAirways is trending fast on social media platform Twitter. On social media, people say that Qatar is the same country in which Maqbool Fida Hussain (MF Hussain) was given the citizenship of his country. The same, M.F. Hussain, who had made nude and obscene pictures of Hindu gods and goddesses, and today the same Qatar is advising India on blasphemy over a statement made by Nupur Sharma.

Sandeep Kukreti writes, "Qatar is the main sponsor of Islamic terrorism in India after Saudi Arabia banned Pakistan's funding of terrorism. Qatar and Turkey want to replace Saudi Arabia as the world's new Islamic leader. Indian Muslims are quietly supporting such anti-India/Hindu sentiment. Preity Das writes that Saudi Arabia and Qatar have been the main funders of ISIS (terror outfits). Qatar gives citizenship to MF Hussain for insulting Hindu gods, for which he should apologise. '

In fact, the Islamic country of Qatar has condemned the alleged statement made by BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma about Prophet Mohammed. Qatar's Foreign Ministry has said that it had specifically summoned the Indian ambassador to condemn the remarks made by Nupur Sharma on Prophet Muhammad. In a statement issued on Sunday (June 5, 2022), the ministry said indian ambassador to Qatar Dr Deepak Mittal was summoned today to hand over a note. It had criticised qatar for the comments made by BJP leaders.

According to the report, Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Solton bin Saad al-Muraikhi handed over the note to Deepak Mittal. It said the Qatari government welcomes the statement issued by the BJP leader and the decision to disassociate itself from the controversial remarks and suspend the leaders who made comments on the Prophet. Qatar, however, is not happy with this and wants the Indian government to publicly apologise for it. Qatar's Foreign Ministry said, "Qatar is looking forward to the Government of India's public apology and immediately condemn these comments." Drawing attention to the fact that allowing such Islamophobic remarks to continue without punishment is a serious threat to the protection of human rights and may lead to further bias. This will create a cycle of violence and hatred. '

Not only this, the Islamic country has threatened in a way that, "These derogatory remarks will encourage religious hatred and more than two billion Muslims all over the world will be outraged by it." This indicates a clear ignorance of the important role of Islam in the development of civilizations all over the world, including India. At the same time, the Indian Embassy has responded to these statements of the Qatari Foreign Ministry. Indian Ambassador Deepak Mittal has said, "The tweets do not in any way reflect the views of the Government of India. These are the views of fringe elements. '

The embassy further said, "In line with the heritage of our civilization and the strong cultural traditions of unity in diversity, the Government of India accords the highest respect to all religions. "Strict action has already been taken against those who made derogatory comments. The Indian embassy said that vested interests which are against india-qatar relations are instigating people by using those derogatory remarks.
