Tork Kratos e-bike to launch on This Republic Day, Here Is Special Offer

Tork Motors will finally introduce its first electric bike on Republic Day, some around six years after it was first announced. The T6X was launched at the time, with claims of a peak speed of 100 kph and a range of 100 kilometres. It's now known as the Kratos, and the numbers associated with it are expected to grow much larger.

Still, the company has had to deal with delays and money troubles along the road, but they appear to have been overcome for the time being. It's fortunate, therefore, that the Kratos' electric engine and battery pack will be produced in India. The motor in issue is an axial flux motor with "record-breaking 96 percent efficiency," as per Tork.

The company had set a target price of Rs 1.25 lakh back in 2016. But a lot has changed since then. Input prices have risen considerably, yet strong government subsidies for electric vehicles have also been introduced. So it'll be fascinating to see how much the Kratos costs in the end. Following the introduction, Tork claims online bookings will open, and delivery will begin in March.
