It will be the longest total lunar eclipse, the duration of the lunar eclipse would be 1 hour 43 minutes from 1 am to 2:43. There is a good news for one who is interested in watching this celestial phenomenon that they can also witness Blood Moon with naked eyes.

 

The total Lunar eclipse occurs when Earth, moon and sun are in perfect alignment. In this phenomenon earth’s shadow completely blocks the direct sunlight. This time cherry on the cake is that sky gazers will also witness Red Moon. The red moon is a term of the total lunar eclipse as the moon appears reddish in colour. This lunar eclipse which is going to occur on Friday nights between 1 am to 2:43 am.

The lunar eclipse can be seen by naked eyes in many countries including India, Australia, South America, Pacific, Indian ocean and Antartica and some part of Europe. In India total lunar eclipse will start on 10:44 pm on Thursday and will end on 4: 58 am and from 1 am to 2:43 am it would be at peak. In India, it can be seen in many cities including Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Delhi.
