Bengaluru: More than 7,000 new cases of corona have been reported in the state. Due to which the number of patients in the state increased to about 2.27 lakh on Sunday. The death toll increased to 3,947. This information was given by the Health Department. The department said that with the arrival of 7,040 new cases of corona, the number of infected people in the state has increased to 2,26,966. 6,680 people were discharged from hospitals after recovering, which increased the number of cured people to 1,41,491.
The Health Department said in a statement that the number of patients currently undergoing treatment in the state is 81,512, out of which 692 patients are admitted in ICUs in different hospitals. Out of the new corona cases reported in Karnataka on Sunday, 2,131 new cases have come in Bengaluru urban district where 49 more patients have also died due to infection. So far, 89,811 cases of corona have been reported in the city and 1,444 infected people have died due to corona infection so far. Currently, 34,584 patients are under treatment.
After Bangalore, 620 new cases are reported in Mysore, 478 in Belagavi and 381 in Ballari, 285 in Kalaburgi and 268 new cases in Dharwad. Corona infection cases are increasing continuously in India. During this time, 57,982 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours and 941 people have died.
According to the data released on Monday by the Ministry of Family and Health, the number of corona cases in India has increased to 26,47,664. There are 6,76,900 active cases and 50,921 people have died. There are 19,19,843 people who won the battle with corona or have been discharged from the hospital.
