Central government takes step to promote Eco-Fendley Tourism

Lucknow: The tourism sector has immense potential for growth. The growth of this sector will generate employment in a big way. The focus of the Government is on promoting Eco Fandli Tourism. The Centre is going to set up a biodiversity park in 16 districts along the Ganga under Namami Gange scheme. At the local level, the Forest Department will look after it. A biodiversity park will be set up in 180 hectares at Mohanpur in the hill block in Mirzapur district. Forest department officials have given a presentation in New Delhi.

The work is expected to start soon. According to DFO Rakesh Chaudhary, the Forest Department has prepared an action plan and the construction work is scheduled to be completed by 2024. 6 crore 28 lakh is to be spent on construction work. The Bio diversify park will be divided into two zones. Visitors Zone and Nature Conservancy will have different facilities.

The visitors zone will have the major scenic spots like Nature Interpretation Centre, Nature Trials, Water Bodies, Herbal Gardens, Nursery, Sacred Grove, Nakshatra Vatika, Panchvati, Navagraha Vatika, RecreationPark, Birding Area, Rokri Garden etc. The Panchvati vatika will have vine, banyan, amla, peepal and ashoka trees. Different types of plants will be planted in the Nakshatra Vatika. Officials claim that the bio-diversity park will increase the movement of tourists to the district. Biodiversity parks will be set up in these districts - Mirzapur, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur, Kanpur, Kannauj, Varanasi, Ballia, Ghazipur, Rae Bareli, Bulandshahar, Meerut, Badaun, Hapur and Bijnore.
