On the other hand, the Kashipur-Buakhal highway was blocked for two days due to heavy snowfall on the hills of Dhumakot and Birkhal. At the same time, hundreds of vehicles, including a Baraat bus, were stranded between the badgers and Dhumakot. In such a situation, the riders spent the entire icy night of Friday in hungry and thirsty vehicles.

At the same time, due to heavy snow, the road has not been opened for traffic till Saturday evening. Some people have taken shelter in nearby villages. On Friday evening, a barat from Dehradun was returning to Pokhari village of Thalisain block in Thalisain. At the same time, due to heavy snowfall, the vehicles of the Baratis got stuck between Ghaniyakhal and Vedikhal.
