A rock part collapsed and fell on three boats in Brazil's Minas Gerais state on Saturday. Seven people lost their lives on the spot and 9 others were seriously injured in the incident. In addition to which 20 people are still said to be missing. Media reports say all those injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The incident took place around 11 am local time. Local authorities say the state of Minas Geras has been receiving rain for the past 24 hours. There is a possibility of falling rocks in the rain. Meanwhile, Colonel Edgard Estevo, commander of the Minus Geras Fire Department, said in a press conference that the accident took place between Sao Jose dr. Bara and Capitalio towns. He has said that the search for the missing persons is going to continue, but the diver is about to stop his search at night for their safety.

Brazilian President Bolsonaro has also shared a video of the same. He has said that the Navy has deployed a relief team to join the search and rescue efforts. In addition, Romu Jema, governor of the southeastern Brazilian landlock state of Minus Gerais, tweeted about it.
