Automobile manufacturer Toyota Yaris launched the sedan car at the government e-marketplace (GeM) for Rs 9.12 lakh. Feight and tax will be charged extra according to the place. Company has introduced the J grade MT variants of the Yaris sedan in super white colour on this official website. The Japanese carmaker said that on the request of customers, this car can also be made available for other colours. Standard Toyota Yaris is available with a choice of 10 colours.
Government e-marketplace was launched in 2016. It is a dedicated digital marketplace for online purchase of goods and services by government organizations, departments, and public sector units (PSUs).
Toyota Kirloskar Motor Senior Vice President of Sales and Service Naveen Soni said, "The Toyota Yaris is a preferred choice for its world-class safety, quality, durability and reliability features. Now be sure to post Yaris's listing on GeM, It has been noted that car buyers from the central and state governments will get more options in the sedan segment. It is in our cognizance that many government undertakings are moving towards buying from GeM in the era of covid and we want to make their buying experience easier. The "Covid Warrior" special offer applied to Yaris has received a good response and we have the opportunity to thank government employees and doctors for their continued services in the war against the covid epidemic. We hope this move will get help in sales in the new B segment and in addition, there will be increased interest from various government departments and PSUs.
