Chandigarh: After a decision by the Khattar government of Riyana to seal the routes leading to the country's capital Delhi amid rising cases of coronavirus, heavy traffic jam ensued on the route connecting Delhi and Gurugram on Friday morning. Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij had on Thursday demanded strict steps for the movement of people from Delhi and said that due to free movement of people of Delhi, the number of corona cases in Haryana is increasing.

A large number of people gathered on the Delhi-Gurugram border on Friday. Police personnel were seen checking the identity cards near the people traveling to and from the Delhi-Gurugram border. According to a report by the government agency ANI, a sub-inspector of police, Bhim Singh, has said that "no new guidelines have come so far." We are following the rules of lockdown-4. "

According to the top officials of the state government, those who do not have e-movement pass and who do not fall in the approved category of essential service providers, as per the instructions of MHA, should not be allowed to move from Delhi to Haryana. After the relaxation of Lockdown 4.0, the number of people moving from Delhi to Haryana increased. The state government had said before the Delhi High Court on May 14 that movement of people from Delhi to Haryana would be allowed through e-pass.
