Lucknow: Fourmembers of the same family, residents of Gorakhpur, were tragically killed when a car and a truck collided head-on in Uttar Pradesh's Basti district. Three people were also badly injured in the incident. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. Wednesday/Wednesday on the forelane At around 1 pm on Thursday night, a speeding uncontrolled car rammed into the trailer near Ramwapur under Kaptanganj police station area from behind. In this incident, four people of the same family died painfully, while three people were injured.
There was a scream all around at the time of the accident. Acting on a tip-off, the Kaptanganj police reached and with the help of local people, the occupants of the car were taken out. Six persons, including the woman, were pulled out of the car and taken to the district hospital. While the driver was trapped in the wreckage of the car. Till late in the night, efforts were made to pull out the dead driver (name-address unknown) by cutting the body of the car. It was learnt that all the seven persons, including the driver, were on their way to Gorakhpur from Fatehpur.
The deceased have been identified as Ravi Srivastava (45) son Om Narayan Srivastava, Rachna Srivastava (40) wife Ravi Srivastava, Ravi's mother Vandana Srivastava (55) wife Om Narayan Srivastava resident Ramnagar Colony Padri Bazar Police Station Shahpur Gorakhpur at the district hospital. The injured have been identified as Ravi's son Pranalav (14), daughter Pragya (6), father Om Narayan Srivastava (70).
