Korba: Three persons lost their lives when a car collided with a truck on a highway in Chhattisgarh's Korba district on Saturday. The police reported this. SHO of Bango police station Rajesh Patel said that the accident took place in the wee hours of the day on the Bilaspur-Katghora-Ambikapur National Highway near Lamana village under the Bango police station area. He said the victims were on their way to Ambikapur from Raipur when their four-wheeler collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction.

The officer said two of the victims, Ramesh Kumar Singh (59) and Pankaj Jha (45), died on the spot, while Budhinath Jha (35) died on the way to the hospital. Ramesh Singh was a resident of Surajpur district and Pankaj Jha was a resident of Raipur. The official said the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem and a case has been registered under the relevant provisions of the IPC.

On the other hand, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel came to the assembly with a briefcase made of cow dung to promote the sector of environmental protection and economic empowerment. This briefcase has been specially prepared from cow dung powder for the budget session of the assembly. The women of a women's self-help group working in Gokul Dham Gothan of the same Municipal Corporation, Raipur, have prepared this briefcase using cow dung and other products and in the same briefcase, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel presented the budget in the Assembly today.
