London: In September 2023, Mitkumar Patel, a 23-year-old Indian student who arrived in the UK for higher studies, went missing, sparking concerns among his relatives. Unfortunately, on November 21, his body was discovered in the river Thames near the Canary Wharf area in east London, prompting the Metropolitan Police to confirm that the death is not considered suspicious. Mitkumar Patel was last seen on November 17, and worries heightened when he did not return from his daily walk to his London residence.

Following the tragic discovery, a relative named Parth Patel initiated a GoFundMe campaign to provide financial support to Mitkumar's family and facilitate the transportation of his body to India. The online fundraiser has successfully garnered over GBP 4,500 since its launch last week.
