Lucknow: A 21-year-old man lost his life in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday when his motorcycle collided with an e-rickshaw that suddenly made a U-turn on a bridge.

The tragic incident occurred at 12:40 pm and was captured on CCTV. The footage shows the e-rickshaw driver stopping in the middle of a busy road before abruptly making the U-turn. Akash Singh, the young man riding the motorcycle, lost control and crashed into the e-rickshaw. Despite being rushed to the hospital by other commuters, Akash was declared dead upon arrival. The e-rickshaw driver fled the scene following the accident.

Akash Singh, employed at a private company, was returning home after some work when the incident took place.

A police case has been registered against the e-rickshaw driver at the Kidganj police station, following a complaint filed by the victim's father.

The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
