TRAI has now come up with a web application that will allow users to calculate their TV bill before they choose a channel. What is the TRAI Channel Selector App

TRAI has launched the Channel Selector app to make it easier for subscribers to migrate to the new channel packs. This app is available on the official website of TRAI. It's good enough for users. This will enable viewers to select channels and watch their packs before they are finalized. This will enable subscribers to see in advance their channel selection how much they'll have to pay each month. Click on the "Get Started" button first on the Channel Selector website.

You will then be asked for your details. It will ask for your name, mobile number, service provider details and previous bill amount. You want to fill in or leave these details. You will then be asked about your State. Filling it out will give you channel options. For example: Filling in a state will show you the choice for channels in your state or local language.

So fill in this option. In the next page, you'll be asked about the topic you like in news, music, sports, and more. Finally, you'll have to choose whether you want HD or SD channels or choose both channels. All this information is optional.

After you've selected your choice in the options above, you'll have the Channel Selector app in front of you. We'll give you the same opinion that you start with the Free to Air Channel tab. This section has a total of 550 free to air channels.

After you choose between free channels, go to the Pay Channels tab to select the a-la-carte channel. When choosing channels, you'll also have to look at your cart so you know how much you'll have to pay each month. Finally, search for the individual pack on "Channel Bouquet List".

After selecting All channels, go to the "My Selection" button. It will let you know which channels you have selected, which channels are of quality, their price, your tax and monthly bills without tax, etc. See and finalise whether you need to add or subtract something, or that's okay with what you've selected.
