According to the recently reported PTI, TRAI says that the deadline has been increased to 23 January on the demand of stakeholders. On 27 November, a consultation paper was issued on the subject of transparency in the publication of the fee offering. After this, consultations were invited from the stakeholders till 26 December and the deadline was fixed till 9 January 2020.

On 24 October, the High Court had ordered the telecom companies to pay the old dues. It is estimated that a total of Rs 1.47 lakh crore of liabilities have come out from the telecom companies. After the High Court's decision, Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel got the second quarter of the current financial year due to heavy expenditure provision for the outstanding statutory liabilities. In total, there is a loss of about 74,000 crores. In this, Vodafone Idea has the highest loss with Rs 50,921 crore.
