Jaipur: The direct impact of the ongoing Gurjar protest in Rajasthan is being seen on railway operations. Due to Gurjar agitation, rail traffic has been affected in Kota Division for the past several days. Due to Gurjar agitation, rail traffic on Hindaun City-Bayana railway block of Kota division is being blocked due to changes in the routes of various trains by the railways for the past several days.

It has been learned that the people of the agitating Gurjar community are sitting on the railway tracks, due to which the routes of many trains have been diverted. According to West Central Railway, the train number 02952 Delhi-Mumbai Central Express had to be diverted due to Gurjar agitation. This train used to go via New Delhi-Kota-Ratlam. Now this changed route is going to go via Mathura-Jhansi-Bina-Shri Hirdaram Nagar Nagda. At the same time, it is being said that the railway has diversified the Nizamuddin-Mumbai Central Express (02954). This train used to go via Mathura-Sawai Madhopur-Kota. Now this changed route is going through Jhansi-Bina-Shri Hirdaram Nagar Nagda.

Hazrat Nizamuddin-Kota Special Train Cancellation: The movement of trains has been affected due to Gurjar movement. Railway has decided to keep Kota-Nizamuddin train (02059) and Nizamuddin-Kota train (02060) canceled on 8 November. New Delhi-Mumbai Central Express (02952) has also been diverted. This train used to go via New Delhi-Kota-Ratlam. Now this changed route is going through Jhansi-Bina-Shri Hirdaram Nagar Nagda.

Apart from this, the trains whose routes have been changed by Railways include New Delhi-Trivandrum Special Train (02432), Amritsar-Bandra Terminus Paschim Special Train (02926). It has been learned that the Gujjar agitators sitting on the railway tracks in Rajasthan have warned the government that if their demands are not met by Sunday evening, then from Monday onwards, they will block the road from rail to road all over Rajasthan. The agitators say that "the Gujjars will continue the agitation till the proposal of reservation is passed by the government. Trains going from Delhi to Mumbai, Mumbai to Delhi have been affected due to jamming of railway tracks."
