Islamabad: Twenty-two people lost their lives and 80 others were injured in a devastating train derailment in Pakistan. The accident occurred when ten bogies of the Rawalpindi-bound Hazara Express overturned near the Sahara Railway Station, situated between Shahzadpur and Nawabshah. The tragic incident took place on a Sunday, as the train was en route to Rawalpindi from Karachi.

Rescue workers and police immediately rushed to the scene to assist in pulling out people trapped in the derailed compartments. Civilians also joined in the rescue efforts to help those in need. The injured were swiftly transported to the People's Medical Hospital in Nawabshah. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the derailment, and an emergency protocol has been put in place in nearby hospitals to cope with the influx of patients.

This unfortunate incident has left the nation in mourning, and efforts are underway to understand the circumstances leading to the tragic accident and prevent such mishaps in the future.
