If you cancel your ticket 48 hours before the train is run, then the AC First Class ticket will cost Rs 240 per person. Apart from this, AC 200 tires will be cut by Rs 200, AC 3 tires, AC chair cars, Rs 180 on AC 3 economy and Rs 120 on slipper tickets. On the other hand, on cancellation of second class ticket of the train, a charge of Rs 60 will be deducted. At the moment, this rule applies to confirmed tickets. If you cancel a ticket 12 hours before the train starts, then 25 percent of the ticket is deducted as a cancellation charge. On the other hand, if you cancel a ticket in less than 12 hours, then 50 percent of the ticket can be deducted as a cancellation charge.
If you have booked RAC ticket online and the ticket has not been canceled and then have not filed TDR, then in such a situation you will not get any refund. For your information, let us tell you that TDR has to file 30 minutes before the train is running. If you have booked a confirmed ticket immediately and cancel it, you cannot get any refund. But if the train is running three hours late from the station that starts the journey, then you can get the money back, but you have to apply for it. On the other hand, if the Tatkal ticket is in waiting, you will get the refund as per the Railway rules.
