KOCHI: Three youths were apprehended in the early hours of Wednesday on Kerala's Thrissur-Kochi national highway while transporting hash oil worth Rs 2.25 crore.

Police say they collected 11 kg of hash oil from two vehicles. Anoop, Nishan, and Nasim have been identified as those arrested. DYSP (Chalakudy) C.R.Santhosh, Inspector B.K.Arun, and others led the police party.

The product was designed for a Kochi resident who had committed Rs 38 lakh to acquire ganja from Andhra Pradesh, and the accused were conduits to import the oil for distribution in Kochi, according to the police.

The police are said to have tracked down the source of the Rs 38 lakh cash transaction.
