On seeing many people got caught in the current, after which now 11 people have lost their lives.

Two children were also among the dead: According to the information received so far, the 94th Upper Gurupuja festival is going to be held in the temple. A large number of devotees had come to participate in this festival. In the midst of the traditional Rath Yatra on the roads, 11 people have lost their lives due to electrocution after an electric wire came in contact with a car. According to the police, two children are also among the dead.
