Jaipur: A tractor-trolley full of grain sacks was hit by the highway at high speed near the railway culvert in Bundi city of Rajasthan on Saturday evening. In the accident, nine of the labourers travelling in the tractor trolley have been injured. After the accident, the grain sacks filled in the trolley have fallen on the road, due to which the grain has been spread on the road. On getting information about the incident, the Sadar police station reached the spot and the injured was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Sadar police station sub-inspector Dharmaram said that out of 11 labourers in the tractor trolley, 9 have been injured in the incident. Murari, Suresh, Bhanwarlal, Raju, Jagdish, Pooranmal, Shankar, Parashuram and Kajod were injured in the incident, some have been sent home after first aid. Tractor trolley is being told of a rice mill. Earlier the news came that Yamuna Authority has decided to reduce the speed of vehicles on Yamuna Expressway. Actually, as soon as winter comes, thick fog starts to cover in the morning and evening. The speed of vehicles in the midst of fog sometimes becomes the cause of accidents. To prevent these accidents, Yamuna Authority has decided to reduce the speed of vehicles.
According to the decision, the maximum speed limit of vehicles on Yamuna Expressway will be reduced from 100 to 80 kmph from December 15. Yamuna Expressway operations head Santosh Panwar has informed that light vehicles will now be able to ply at a speed of 80 kmph. Heavy vehicles will be able to run at a speed of 80 to 60 kmph, which will be applicable from December 15 to February 15, followed by a review.
