Shimla: A major accident has been reported in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh in the early hours of Wednesday. A car has fallen into a ditch. Two youths have also lost their lives in the accident, while two women have been badly injured. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. Police have taken the bodies in possession and sent them to the hospital for post-mortem.

According to reports, the accident took place near Tunnuhatti on the Chamba-Pathankot highway. The car of the people returning after immersing the ashes from Haridwar also became a victim of a horrific accident. The car went out of control and fell into the ditch. Two youths lost their lives on the spot while two women were seriously injured in the accident. After getting information about the accident, the team of Police Outpost Bakloh reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations.

Police have taken the bodies in custody while the injured have been admitted to Harigiri Hospital Kamaladi for treatment. The victims of the accident are said to be residents of Tissa. SP Abhishek Yadav has said that the post-mortem of the dead is going to be done at Civil Hospital Dalhousie.
