New Delhi: Hearing in the case of sedition against former JNU student Sharjeel Imam accused of inciting riots and sedition and has been adjourned till August 13. Sharjeel is currently quarantined in Guwahati jail. Because of which he cannot appear in court. Therefore, on Monday, the Saket court has adjourned the hearing in this case for three days.

Today Sharjeel Imam was to appear in Saket Court through video conferencing. However, he is quarantined so he could not appear. Delhi Police has filed a supplementary charge sheet against Sharjeel Imam. In the charge sheet filed in Patiala House Court, the police have made many important revelations. In the forensic investigation, a video containing inflammatory speech and voice sample of Sharjeel has been matched.

During the riots, many such videos were found in which he was giving provocative speeches. These videos are outside the university campus before the Jamia violence (13 December to 15 December) where he was holding anti-national talks to influence the youth. In another video, standing outside the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was talking about separating Assam from India.
