Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, a case of triple talaq of a woman has come to light in Aligarh district for not fulfilling the demands of dowry. The woman, who lives in the Delhi Gate police station area of Aligarh, was thrown out of the house by her husband after Triple Talaq because she had not given him enough amount as dowry. The woman alleges that her brother-in-law also molested her, which she has complained about in the police station.

A case has been registered against eight persons including husband and his brother on the complaint of the woman. The woman had reached the SSP office with the Hindu Yuva Vahini activists to file a complaint. The woman got married to the man six months ago. The family members of the victim had given a dowry of Rs 5 lakh at the time of marriage. Even after this, there was a repeated demand for dowry from the in-laws. The woman protested but her husband divorced her giving her Triple Talaq and also treated her badly.  The woman has alleged that she was also molested.
