Triple Talaq case in Ajmer, Husband Already married to Seven women

Ajmer: The first case has come to light in Ajmer after the passage of the triple talaq bill in Parliament. A complaint of triple talaq against Khadim Sayed Salimuddin alias Salim Bapu of Khwaja Garib Nawaz Dargah in Ajmer has been lodged by his second wife at the Dargah police station. District Police Captain Kunwar Rashdeep said that a case has been registered against the victim.

Police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim and initiated an investigation. According to sources, the accused husband has already done 7 marriages. At present, the police have initiated an inquiry into the matter with legal opinion. Remarkably, the triple divorce bill has been passed recently after getting the green signal from the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. In which three divorces have been declared a crime for Muslim women.

Under the provisions of the bill, the husband can be sentenced to up to 3 years for triple talaq by the husband and now the woman's relatives can also file an FIR at the police station. At the same time, a woman suffering from triple talaq can ask for maintenance and maintenance allowance from the magistrate for her and her minor children.
