She was accompanied by Supreme Court Advocate Farha Faiz and Rabiya accused her husband, Rao Munir of first three divorces, then pressuring her younger brother Suhail Mohammed or his uncle Rao Leik Ahmed for Halala.

In the case, the victim said that "when she protested, she was beaten up and thrown out of the house." Earlier, the victim had filed a dowry harassment report against her husband, Devar, mother-in-law and husband's uncle at the police station and the victim, Rabiya, said that "on January 30, 2017, she had gone to Jaipur in a relation with her husband Rao Munir.
