Actress Trupti Shankhadhar has posted a video on social media stating her life is under threat. The actress has accused her father of assault and said that if nothing is done soon, she will be killed. After which she ran away from home with her mother. Trupti has asked for help through a video. In the video shared on her Instagram page, Trupti says, "My father's name is Ram Ratan Shankhadhar. He grabbed me with my hair and pulled me very hard". Trupti also showed bruises on her hand.

She further said, "He sent me to Mumbai. I have only one movie released. He is harassing me to get married. I am only 19 years old. He is asking me to marry a 28-year-old man. If I refuse, he will kill me. Today, he has clearly said that he will kill me and the whole family. I have no choice. I also tried to contact the police. He keeps harassing everyone every day". In this video, the actress shows her mother and says that her father has beat her mother too. The actress said that the police is not helping them.

In another video, Trupti has told that "We have run away on our own free will. My father can say anything that we have been kidnapped. He can find us and kill us. We have escaped on our own". Trupti posted two videos on her Instagram page. It has been removed.

Trupti started her acting career with Ekta Kapoor's show 'Kumkum Bhagya'. Apart from this, the actress has worked in 'Dev-2', 'Paramavatar Shri Krishna', 'Zindagi U-Turn', 'Kasauti Zindagi Ke 2' show.
