Biplab Deb, the chief minister of Tripura, has decided to contribute a part of his salary to the airfare of students from the state who have arrived in India from the war-torn Ukraine. Deb claimed in a lengthy social media post that he would give money from his income to pay for the airfare of students traveling to Agartala from Delhi.

"As a humble token of gratitude," Tipura CM Biplab Deb said, "I have decided to contribute from my salary airfare for Delhi-Agartala flights for Tripura students returning from Ukraine." Deb further stated that officials from Tripura Bhavan had been given orders to coordinate with students coming from the war zone. "Tripura Bhawan Delhi authorities have been given instructions to coordinate with the students returning from Ukraine," he said.

"The Government of India, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, is committed to reuniting students of Indian origin with their families," the Tripura chief minister added.
