As BJP registered the historic win in Tripura PM Modi called this assembly election 2018 as ‘epoch-making one’ and expressed thanks to citizens of Tripura.

PM Modi took his twitter handle and said,”2018 Tripura election will be remembered as an epoch-making one! What my sisters and brothers of Tripura have done is extraordinary. No words will be enough to thank them for the phenomenal support towards @BJP4Tripura. We will leave no stone unturned in transforming Tripura,” PM Tweeted.

 Expressing thanks and lauded over the maiden win, PM Modi said, “People of Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura have spoken! I thank the people of these states for supporting the good governance agenda and ‘Act East Policy’ of @BJP4India & our valued allies. We remain committed to working towards fulfilling the dreams & aspirations of the people, PM said in another tweet.

In Tripura, BJP won over the Left Front government.The unexpected twist in the numbers for Tripura has come as a major heighten for the saffron party.

Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday said that country has now become 'Vaampanth Mukt'.

"In a way, the entire northeast is now with the BJP. Initially, we used to say 'Congress Mukt Bharat' now I think we can say 'Vaampanth Mukt Bharat' also," Ravi Shankar Prasad said ANI.

The Union Minister further said that the Tripura-win is a historic win.

"This is a historic win. This is massive development in the politics of India," Prasad said.

Prasad also added that the today result will have an effect on Kerala politics and said, "Leftists first lost West Bengal now they have been dethroned from Tripura. This will clearly affect the politics of Kerala."
