Tripura government to sponsor education of 150 tribal students

The government of Tripura, aiming to improve the quality of education in the state has volunteered to sponsor the B.Ed. and D.El.Ed courses of 150 tribal students. They believe that in the future, the students would transform into better teachers.

All the students assembled at the  Pragna Bhavan Hall, where they were addressed by the Chief Minister of the state, Biplab Kumar Deb, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath and Tribal Welfare Minister Mewar Kumar  Janatia, before they left the state. 

In his address, Deb asserted that the candidates would be selected purely on the basis of Merit. he also stated that his government did not choose a person based on his political identity. He also assured the students that he and his government would send them to the best colleges and would provide them with the best quality of education. 

The Director of Tribal Welfare Department, Hiralal Debbarma affirmed that 62 girls and 88 boys have been chosen for the same and out of the colleges that have been included under the same, one is at Murshidabad and the another is at Bashirhaat.

The students are extremely happy with the decision made by the government and looking forward to working hard and seek a better future.
