Hyderabad: TRS leaders led by ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi General Secretary M Srinivas Reddy on Tuesday lodged a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer. He submitted a video recording which purportedly was a speech given by Raghunandan Rao in the presence of Eatala," Rao in his speech specifically mentioned the police commissioner and others who were peacefully engaging themselves in the by-elections. and asking the youth to attack him.He also issued open threats to the election staff that he would be implicated in the cases and he would be arrested and fired from his job.

The TRS team said, "While addressing the BJP youth wing members of Huzurabad constituency, the MLA made a provocative statement and incited the youth to revolt against the police and attack and physically kill them." Srinivas Reddy said that the content of the speech given by Rao is objectionable and completely violative of the model code of conduct. Apart from this, it is also a serious offense under the provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 and the provisions of the Indian Penal Code. He said the video footage clearly showed over 3,000 people attending the meeting without following the Covid-19 norms, which was nothing but a violation of the election code of conduct.

Srinivas Reddy said that it is a serious crime committed by Raghunandan Rao who deliberately instigated the youth to revolt against the legally established government, police and administration. Reddy requested the officials to take immediate action against the MLA and Eatala.
