Hyderabad: Congress has levelled scathing allegations against Telangana CM Chandrasekhar Rao's (KCR) party TRS. The Congress has said that Telangana's ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is offering Rs 500 crore to Prashant Kishor to regain power. A close aide of CM Chandrasekhar Rao has confirmed that both Prashant Kishor (PK) and CM Chandrasekhar Rao are in contact. Recently, Prashant Kishor also visited Gajwel, the constituency of the TRS chief and also visited the 'Kaleshwaram' project site, the head of his government.
Congress spokesperson Dasoju Shravan said that in the 2018 assembly elections, the TRS got 41 per cent votes, the Congress 30 per cent and the Bharatiya Janata Party got only 19 per cent votes. The Congress was in second place in terms of vote sharing. He claimed that this time Congress will give a tough fight to the TRS in the upcoming elections and will face defeat.
In the same corridor of power, there is talk that TRS chief and Telangana chief minister Chandrashekhar Rao may now take the service of I-PAC to enter the Centre's polity with full force. On February 23, CM Chandrasekhar Rao hinted at entering national politics, saying that he was moving towards influencing national politics. He will join all parties on the issue of anti-people policies and development brought by the BJP and will fix everything in the country. Prashant Kishor, who has earned a name as an election strategist, has worked for Narendra Modi, Nitish Kumar, Mamata Banerjee, Jagan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh and DMK leader MK Stalin in Tamil Nadu.
