Meerut: A tragic incident took place in front of Sanskriti Resort on Delhi-Dehradun highway in the Kankarkheda police station area of Meerut district last Monday evening. Three persons including a teenager riding a pulsar bike lost their lives when they were hit by a truck. The driver left the truck and fled the spot after the incident. Police reached the spot and seized the truck.

The incident took place on Monday evening when a man and woman and a 12-year-old teenager on a Pulsar bike coming from Haridwar were hit by a truck. The collision was so severe that all three lost their lives on the spot. It is determined that the truck badly crushed the trio after the collision, killing them on the spot. Police who reached the spot seized the bodies of the trio and sent them for postmortem. The highway was jammed after the accident. After which the police removed the damaged bike and opened the jam and smoothened the highway.

According to information received so far, police have seized the truck while the driver left the truck and fled the spot. CO Daurala Ashish Sharma has said that it will still take time for the deceased to be identified. The identification is being done on the basis of the mobile number found.

The deceased have been identified as Krishna Pal (41 years) son Indrapal and his wife Meenu (39 years) and son Anshul (11 years) from Badal Dhanora village in Doghat police station area. They were on their way to Baghpat from the Delhi-Dehradun highway.
