Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh: Panic gripped the Bhopura Chowk area on Delhi-Wazirabad Road early Saturday (February 1) morning after a truck loaded with LPG cylinders caught fire, causing a series of loud explosions that could be heard from several kilometers away.

The incident happend near Thana Teela Mod in Ghaziabad district around 4.45 am when the fire department received an emergency call. Responding quickly, eight fire engines rushed to the scene, battling the fierce blaze as multiple cylinders erupted in violent bursts, sending shockwaves through the neighborhood.
Eyewitnesses said scenes of chaos, with residents waking up to the deafening sound of explosions and thick plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky. "It felt like a series of bombs going off. The ground was shaking," said Rajesh Kumar, a local shopkeeper.
Firefighters worked tirelessly to bring the situation under control, taking several hours to douse the flames completely. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far, though the intensity of the fire caused significant damage to nearby structures and vehicles.
At the same time, a hotel was also damaged, whose glass broke due to the explosion. Local people came out of their houses in panic. Â
Authorities are investigating the matter of the fire, while safety concerns over the transport of hazardous materials through densely populated areas have been re-ignited after the incident.
