USA: In order to prevent a crisis from escalating into a third world war and causing irreparable damage to the planet, former US President Donald Trump said that Russia and Ukraine must immediately begin negotiations.

"And right now, there is a conflict between Russia and Ukraine that could result in thousands or even millions of fatalities. Otherwise, there won't be any of our planet left after World War III and we'll have to [start] immediately negotiating a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine, "According to a report from C-SPAN, Trump made the statement on Saturday while speaking at a rally in Minden, Nevada.

A decree implementing the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine's decision that talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin are not possible was signed on Tuesday by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, stated that Moscow would wait for the country's current president or his successor to change his stance on the negotiations.

On February 24, Russia began its special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request for assistance from the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics to defend themselves against Ukrainian provocations. Western nations have launched a broad campaign of sanctions against Moscow in response to Russia's operation and have been supplying Ukraine with weapons.

Following referendums that revealed a resounding majority of the local populace supported becoming a part of Russia, agreements on the accession of these territories to Russia were signed on September 30 by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the leaders of the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics, as well as Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
