Trump: The US poses the biggest threat to Western civilization

Washington: In a video uploaded to his social media accounts on Thursday, former US President Donald Trump attacked "globalists" and the country's neoconservative establishment, saying that the US and "some of the horrible, USA-hating people that represent us" pose the "greatest threat to Western civilization today."

The 2024 presidential hopeful said, "These globalists want to waste all of America's strength, blood, and treasure, chasing monsters and phantoms abroad while keeping us preoccupied with the chaos they're wreaking right here at home.

By pouring money and weapons into Ukraine, the Biden administration, according to Trump, has pushed the world closer than ever to the verge of nuclear war. "Every day this proxy battle continues, we risk global war," he said, arguing that a "total cessation of hostilities" should be the "central issue" for the nation.

The State Department, Pentagon, intelligence services, and other important agencies would all undergo a complete overhaul under a second Trump administration in order to "fire the Deep Staters and put America first," which would be followed by "fundamentally reevaluating NATO's purpose and NATO's mission."

Trump recently said that the Ukraine conflict is a "vital concern for Europe, but not for the United States." Trump has long argued that European countries should bear more of the costs and obligations associated with the military bloc.

In order to appease his supporters, he assured them that he is prepared to overthrow "the entire globalist neocon establishment that is perpetually dragging us into endless wars pretending to fight for freedom and democracy abroad while they turn us into a third world country, and a third world dictatorship, here at home."

The 45th president insisted that he alone knows "exactly what to do to get the job done," even though he omitted mentioning any of the globalists or neocons who have been high on his list of enemies since taking office in 2016.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who has not yet formally declared his candidature for the Republican nomination in 2024, and Trump are polling neck and neck for the party's nomination.

DeSantis recently informed Fox News host Tucker Carlson that the US does not have a "vital interest" in supporting the Ukrainian military. Other potential Republican candidates have embraced the Biden administration's unrestricted support for Kiev, including former UN envoy Nikki Haley and former National Security Advisor John Bolton.
