Drink a glass of water or a cup of herbal tea before having your meals

Drinking a full glass of water or beverages will make you feel satisfied and give you the impression that your stomach is full even if you had little amount of food. If you have crave for sugary drinks then instead of taking plain water you can add lemon or lime to you water and increase its taste.

Choose foods that tale some time to get digested

But hunger often strikes you before your lunch hour, thus making you forget all your efforts. Consequently, you start munching whatever you find handy, including those sinful cakes and cookies! This will take you two steps backward for losing weight where you had tried your level best to control your figure. Hence instead of having only salads you can add eggs and chicken breasts or something good fats like guacamole or avocados in your salad. Remember this: Every meal that you are having should contain protein elements which will help you to feel more satisfied and sustains your blood sugar level for a long time. This will not let you to go for unhealthy snacks during your recess.

Take your foods in small bites

Avoid having large bites during your meal. Its better you divide your meal into pieces or small morsels. This will let you eat slowly and helps you to stretch out your meal and helps you to identify that you are full. Hence divide your food before you start your meal. Break your bread and meat pieces into tiny fragments. Try to use small utensils while having your meal. You can use small teaspoons instead of using big spoons while having your cereals.

Try not to eat while watching tv or working on computer

Often it is seen that your mind engaged with computer or TV more than eating. So turn off these electronics and enjoy every bite of your meal. While you are hungry you will realize that you are concentrating on your food clearly. Try to avoid having snacks while watching a TV show as this will not help you satisfied as it risks if snacking is seen if you hit a commercial break.

Avoid snacking late at night

Your body doesn’t burn a lot of calories at one time while you are sleeping; you have to hang on to bed after your meal. So try to follow these tips to avoid getting fat. A deadline should be fixed for at least 2 hrs before going to bed. After settling the points you can have your snacks before 8pm in evening.
