Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated unseeded Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6.3, 7.6 to clinch the Monte Carlo Masters tennis title. Due to the Corona epidemic, the 2020 season did not take place and in 2021, this tournament was played without spectators, i.e. after a long time, the return of the spectators is seen here.  

This was Fokina's first ATP final to beat Novak Djokovic in the second round. Tsitsipas, who lost to Djokovic in the French Open final last year, has become the first champion to retain the Monte Carlo title since Rafael Nadal in 2018.
