Hyderabad: Due to the large number of people movement after Dussehra and Bathukamma festivals, heavy rush can be seen at railway stations and bus stands. On this occasion, Telangana State Board Transport Corporation (TSRTC) recorded its highest single day earnings of Rs 14.70 crore on 18 October. The RTC bus network covered a distance of about 36.30 lakh km in a day.

VC Sajjankar, MD, TSRTC, said on Tuesday, "We thank the citizens of Telangana and neighboring states, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra for relying on RTC services during the festive season." "It was a memorable journey of RTC during the last 10 days with the support of all citizens".

He thanked all the passengers for traveling in RTC vehicles and appreciated all the officers, supervisors, employees, drivers, conductors, mechanics for their commitment and immense contribution. In a press release, RTC said it used to realize average earnings before the festive season. 9.71 crore per day. The amount was increased to Rs 10.71 crore on account of Dussehra. Additional revenue of Rs 47 lakh per day was received.
