It was a prestige match for Panama and Tunisia who had already eliminated the Knockout race. TUNISIA took advantage of this and can win the World Cup 40 years later. For the last time in the 1978 World Cup, Tunisia won a match before this. Panama could not stay ahead of Tunisia's strong defence and despite winning a suicide goal, it won the match by 2-1. In the 41st minute of the match, Tunisia had a great chance to score.

With this, Panama made a 1-0 lead in the match. Tunisia did a great attack in the second half.

In the 51st minute, Yusuf converted the pass from to the goal and scored the score at 1-1. In the 66th minute, Osama Hadidi gave a fantastic pass from the left side of the round post. Khajri did not miss the opportunity and brought the ball inside the goal post, and made a 2-1 lead in the match. At the same time, Khajri became the first player to score two goals in a World Cup by Tunisia.
