Shillong:The National People’s Party (NPP) today has announced late P A Sangma's youngest son Conrad K Sangma to competition for the May 16 by-poll in Tura parliamentary constituency.
The party spokesman, James K Sangma has said, “ The decision was taken at the party's central election committee meeting”

The ruling Congress has previously nominated Chief Minister Mukul Sangma s wife and legislator Dikkanchi Shira to contest the by-poll.

The BJP has so far not sure on whether to field any applicant even as regional parties have decided not to put up any contestant.

The by-poll was necessitated further the death of Purno A Sangma.
