Akshita Mudgal is seen in the role of Gayatri in the TV show Bhakharwadi. In this meeting, Akshitha talked about the show and her career.

You started your career with the 'Dance India Dance' reality show. Then how did you get into serials?
I started my career with the show Dance India Dance and later I got out of the show. After this, I went home. People connected there had my phone number, on which calls or messages for auditions kept me coming. I always wanted to be an actor. I decided to go to Mumbai and that decision was proved right. Within a month, I started getting ads and movies.

'Bhakharwadi' show is a mix of Gujarati and Marathi. Did you have to do any special preparation to learn Gujarati?
I did not have to do any special preparation to learn Gujarati. I have some friends who speak Gujarati. Used to listen to them. My character in the show does not need Gujarati as much. After all, the show is Hindi only. I got a chance to play the lead in this show early. 2018 was good for me but in the end, the work got better. Only I was being auditioned. Sometimes I get something, sometimes I do nothing. In this bad time, the mother encouraged me and said that whatever happens is good. One day I was watching TV at my house and at that time the teaser of 'Bhakharwadi' was launched. The very next day I received a call for an audition from Bhakharwadi Production.

What do you think of working on the big screen in the future?
Being an actor, everyone wants to see themselves as a success. I would definitely like to see myself on the big screen going forward. Right now my focus is on the Bhakharwadi show. The show is going well. An actor wants to earn a name from the small to the big screen. He wishes that he gets all kinds of roles. In the future, I would like to see myself in a new place.

How was the experience of working with the characters of 'Bhakharwadi'?
I have had a good experience. Despite being a fresher, I got a chance to work with seniors. There is always a fear when working with senior actors because I do not know if I am able to play my character well or not. I was not able to mingle with him in the workshop about the show as I came to the end and started shooting immediately. Paresh Ganatra is playing my father in the show. It doesn't seem like being with him, he is my senior. He never let it be realized. All the other co-actors also support me a lot and always keep asking me to improve. In real life too, we live like a family.
