After the prepaid plan of mobile, now the price of TV channel plans may change, as Telecom Regulatory of India i.e. TRAI ordered DTH companies to implement new plans by January 15 as per the new tariff order. DTH companies challenged this order of TRAI in court. The trial has been going on in the court for many days on this matter and now the next hearing on this will be on February 12. So if the decision of the court comes in favor of TRAI, then companies will have to introduce new TV channel packs.

If the court's decision comes in favor of TRAI, then cable TV operators along with DTH companies may also have to launch new TV channel packs on 12 February. As per the TRAI order, companies have to introduce new plans by 15 January, which were to be implemented from 1 March.

Jio, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea had increased the price of data plans in early December. However, to provide relief to consumers, companies had provided unlimited calling facility with multiple offers.
