I've been doing historical work, I've never thought of pursuing anything else. But when you are encouraged by your government, you feel like you have to do more of it. More persons have to be prepared in this area. I have always been someone who has tried to tell a story steeped in the history and culture of our India and I dedicate this award to my country.''
In one of his interviews, Dwivedi has discussed many issues. Responding to questions on Hindutva and nationalism, he said, "Why should there not be nationalism in films? If it doesn't, will people take US or England agenda?'' He also talked about critics. He said earlier, critics used to scare filmmakers. But now people on social media are openly discussing. So the film that gives one or two stars by the critics also creates waves at the box office.
