TVS Motor Company has also introduced an updated version of its popular Apache RTR 160 4V, which now comes equipped with golden USD front forks. Priced at Rs 1.40 lakh ex-showroom, this new variant is the most expensive in the lineup, priced more than Rs 500 more than the previous top-of-the-line variant.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V: What's New: Not only this, in its latest avatar, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycle is being offered with many new features, which are aimed at improving the rider experience. These include the new TVS SmartXonnect TM technology. Which now offers Bluetooth connectivity as well as turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts and voice assist. TVS has also added Glide Through Technology (GTT) to the Apache RTR 160 4V. This new technology is also promising to provide smooth ride even in heavy traffic conditions and additional comfort through adjustable brake and clutch levers.
Colour Options: Not only this, the TVS Apache RTR 1604V is going to be available in three exterior colour options. These include colours like Granite Grey, Matte Black and Pearl White. The two-wheeler manufacturer had previously introduced another colour option - Lightning Blue. The bike also comes with sporty, race-inspired graphics, golden-finish USD forks and red alloy wheels. Which is also giving it a sporty look.
Engine and Transmission and Ride Modes: The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycle is also being offered with a 160 cc single-cylinder air and oil-cooled engine. This engine can generate 17.3 bhp of power at 8,000 rpm and 14.8 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle can achieve a top speed of 114 kmph. Talking about ride modes, the Apache RTR 160 4V has 3 ride modes including Sport, Urban, Rain.
Suspension and braking: Reports say that the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V motorcycle is being given 37mm USD front suspension, telescopic front forks and monoshock suspension at the rear. It is also being given dual-channel ABS and 240 mm rear disc braking.
Price and Competition: The Apache RTR 160 4V is priced at Rs 1.40 lakh, ex-showroom. The Apache RTR 160 4V now directly challenges rivals such as the Bajaj Pulsar N160, which is priced at Rs 1.40 lakh, and the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V, which is priced slightly lower at Rs 1.39 lakh.
