The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Twin-Win in Gujarat and HP, has emerged as a booster drive for the Karnataka unit of Saffron BJP ahead of the Assembly polls in 2018. Even if BJP won with a thinner margin than expected,

Sources of BJP make a clean breast that Karnataka has proved a number of times that it’s voting patterns are not in sync with the rest of the nation. Even so, they are firm that the Gujarat win will jump the spirits of the Karnataka cadre.

BJP’s Karnataka State unit is trying to develop hope and zeal from the Gujarat win, especially in the wake of its organization being haunted by power struggle and groupism.

In spite of national President Amit Shah’s stringent warning, there were clear signs of one-upmanship and lack of unity during the ongoing pre-poll promotion of Parivarthana Yatra of the party.

In such a state of affairs, the BJP party State unit leaders are slightly looking at their Central leadership to take on the Congress and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Karnataka as they have not been capable to take any campaign in opposition to the State government to its logical end. “

BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa stated this soon after the results: “After Gujarat, the next focus will be on Karnataka polls and we are confident of winning them.”

Claiming that the self-assurance of party unit has been strengthened by the Gujarat win, he said in the Public meeting where the crowd was expected to puff up at the ongoing Parivarthana Yatra.
