At the book launch event, filmmaker Karan Jorhar interviwed Twinkle Khanna. When Karan asked that why she dedicated her new book ‘Pyjamas are forgiving’ to her mother and veteran actress Dimple Kapadia. In response to this, the auther replied that her mother was rather surprised when she found out that she dedicated this book to her because she has never encouraged her in anything. She has always tried to pick faults. The writer further added that when she  first started writing columns, one of them became very popular and she called her up to ask her if she has read it and she replied- No, but wanted to tell her over dinner last night that none of your serving dishes match.
