Twinkle Khanna, star of many talents, launched her production house Mrs. Funnebones Movies last year. Twinkle was dubbed with husband Akshay Kumar's film 'Padman' under her banner. Twinkle explained that there were many people told her not to make a film on the pads.

After receiving the National Award for Best Film on Social Issues released in 2018, Twinkle wrote on Instagram that the journey was started five years ago by writing columns on menstruation, followed by Arunachalam Murugananam Kainin in my second book. Written about and finally came 'Padman'. Many people had forbidden me from making films on the pad and were won the National Award by the debut of Mrs. Fanniebons Movies.

Twinkle further wrote that sometimes when you start with good intentions, luck definitely goes along with you, and then Twinkle's director R. Balki and the cast of the film have also been applauded for congratulating them. The film did not earn well at the box office but managed to earn average. Despite this, critics and fans liked the film.
