New Delhi: Mohammed Zubair, the co-founder of the controversial website AltNews, has been arrested by the Delhi Police over a tweet from 2018. Let us know that a few days after Zubair's arrest, the Twitter account of Hanuman Bhakt, who made an official complaint by tagging the Delhi Police, has gone missing from the social media platform. On June 19, the missing Twitter account said that Zubair should be arrested for insulting God.

According to media reports, when an attempt was made to open the Twitter handle @balajikijaiin complaining about Mohammed Zubair on Wednesday, a message of "this account does not exist" was seen. On the basis of the complaint, the Delhi Police Cyber Crime Unit arrested Zubair during interrogation in the 2020 Pocso case. Zubair's arrest in the case was stayed by the High Court. Mohammed Zubair has been booked under sections of inciting religious sentiments and promoting hatred. Zubair has been sent to police remand for 4 days.

Let me tell you that the police are talking about finding out the person who made the complaint. At the same time, the handle that tweeted the complaint had only 1 tweet and 1 follower on the day of the arrest, but after the arrest, there were 1,200 followers. However, the account was not found until Wednesday.

Speaking to the media on the condition of anonymity, a senior police officer said, "We have received information that the person who made the complaint has deleted his account. But that will not affect our investigation. We are investigating the matter because Zubair's old tweet was exaggerated and it created disharmony.''

The official said, "We are tracing the complainant to collect the information related to the complaint. He may have deleted the account because he was scared.'' On Tuesday (June 28), DCP (Cyber Crime) KPS Malhotra claimed, "We have found transactions worth more than Rs 50 lakh in Zubair's account. This amount has come in the last three months. DCP Malhotra said that so far we have not received any source in this regard, but the money could be a donation from suspicious organisations.''
